You can delete your Modern Bible account and everything stored with it at any time. There are two ways: inside the app, or by writing to us. Both remove the same data.
Deletion happens immediately. The app clears its local copy and restarts empty.
Write to contact@hesedemet.com from the email address of the Google account you used to sign in, with the subject Account deletion request.
We verify the request comes from that address, delete the account, and confirm by reply. We aim to complete this within 7 days, and in any case within the 30-day period required by the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea.

| Not ours to delete | Translations you purchased are recorded against your Google account, not ours. They are not deleted, and they return if you sign in again. Purchase and tax records that we are required by Korean law to retain are kept for the statutory period. |
If you want to keep what you wrote, export it first: in the app, Settings → Download my data saves your memos, highlights, bookmarks and reading marks as a single JSON file in your Downloads folder. We cannot recover anything after deletion.
Signing out stops syncing and removes your account from the device, but leaves your data on our servers so you can return to it later. If you only want to stop syncing, turn off Settings → Sync with server — nothing is deleted.
